BEMMS explores natural resources without causing damage to the environment. In fact, it has been our constant endeavour to go a step further and develop promising solutions to handle solid waste and brown coal which are known for causing pollution. We are in the process of bio-technology products from soil, solid waste, landfills and brown coal to use them in agriculture, bio-medicine & healthcare. BEMMS is also into development of new environmentally safe insecticides and antibacterial agents. We look at landfills differently and reduce its harmful impact on environment. Landfills are known to release many gases (CO2 , CH4 , CO, HCHO, SO2 , H2S, etc.). Leachates from the landfills enter soil and remove essential trace elements for growth and upkeep of plants. Residents living near landfills are warned not to open their windows and ensure that cracks in the floors and walls are sealed to keep out toxic gases.


Most thermal power plants the world over are facing closure because of the adverse effects of these toxic gases. Our technological advancements and research have enabled us to identify growth promoting agents from these kinds of soil. One such example is Gwal Pahari acid, which promotes growth of tomatoes and vegetables. Our research in brown coal, lignite /leonardite has led to isolation of a new bicylo [3.3.1.] nonanes based products. Which have potential use in agriculture, biomedicine, treatment of gastroenteritis and possibly even treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. The products developed from our R&D labs could be used for fabrication of Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs), which are more suited than silicon based solar cells, for indoor use and in mobile phones and laptops. Our one such product also increases yield in tomatoes and shows mild anti-covid19 activity.
