About Us

BEMMS explores natural resources without causing damage to the environment. In fact, it has been our constant endeavour to go a step further and develop promising solutions to handle solid waste and brown coal which are known for causing pollution. We are in the process of bio-technology products from soil, solid waste, landfills and brown coal to use them in agriculture, bio-medicine & healthcare. Our Core Activities

 Our scientists use state-of-the-art technology to explore natural resources that include soil, municipal solid waste, lignite/brown coal and have developed water soluble anticancer active nano-substances which can be extensively used in pharmaceutical, agriculture and bio-medical industries. We have developed catalysts for applications in material science (eg: preparation of commercially viable Dye Sensitized Solar Cells DSSC).

The use of lignite for running power plants is being discouraged the world over, as these lead to environmental pollution, global warming, and climate change. There is thus a need to find alternate uses for this rich resource that is available in many countries.

Its anti-cancer activity has been evaluated and found to be comparable to that of Doxorubicin, the most commonly used anti-cancer drug, which is known to have many side effects, including Doxorubicin’s cardiotoxicity.

Brown coal is used in Germany for running thermal power plants. There is growing opposition against these power plants due to the environmental pollution caused by them, contributing to global warming and consequent climate change.

To conclude, a new biaryl-based bisazide has been synthesized and evaluated as a crosslinker. Devices fabricated using crosslinked P3HT show an increase in hole mobility, as determined by the SCLC method, by a factor of one order of magnitude.
